Wandering through the Watershed Educator Workshop Registration Page

Come wander through the watersheds of Lake County with topic experts to learn about forest ecology, stream monitoring, coastal restoration, land use impacts to water quality, and Lake Erie history. Lessons connecting youth to their watershed will be shared, Great Lakes environmental literacy resources provided, and connection to regional forest, riverine, and lacustrine experts will be offered.

When: July 14, 2026 at 5:00pm through July 17, 2026 at 2:00pm. 

In this workshop you will:

  1. Travel through the watersheds of Eastern Lake County, Ohio
  2. Learn about forest ecology and research-based activities for youth.
  3. Receive resources and guided learning for Project Learning Tree and Project WET
  4. Connect with Great Lakes Environmental Literacy principles, lessons, and activities
  5. Design a plan to incoporate watershed-based activities into your teaching environment
